Training Workshop
Join our Mat Module 1 Training Workshop at The Place, where you’ll learn to perfect your form and effectively plan and structure your own Pilates sequences using both traditional and contemporary techniques.
This program covers essential topics, including anatomy, injury prevention, and hands-on corrections, pre and postnatal care, proper form and more.
By the end of this training, you'll be well-equipped to lead more effective workouts, and confident to structure your own Pilates sequences.

The in-person training will span approximately 20-22 hours over the course of 4 days, and will be lead by Head Teacher Trainer and Certified Pilates Instructor Steph Smolen, with assistance by The Place Co-Founders Piper Rosenheimer and Izzy Seidel.
Thursday:
5:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Students will take 50min Pilates / Sculpt class at 5:45 p.m. to start the workshop, included in pricing
Friday:
2:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday:
10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., break, 1:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday:
10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., break, 1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
All students should purchase The Science of Pilates and briefly review its materials prior to the beginning of training. Students should also bring a notebook, pen, and highlighter, and will be provided a Pilates Training manual to annotate.
Students are recommended to wear comfortable apparel appropriate for performing Pilates throughout the day, wear grip socks, and bring an extra layer.
We also recommended that students bring their own food and hydration, or can purchase meals, snacks, and beverages at the Stone Bank Farm Market and Nourish in the building adjacent to The Place. Students will be given breaks on Saturday and Sunday for lunch, and basic snacks and beverages will be provided by The Place throughout training.
